Your Role and Responsibilities
Deploy and verify Lake House on OpenShift, Cloud Pak for Data platform/standalone virtualized environment including integration with Data platform microservices.
Use continuous integration tools like Jenkins and Travis to build automation pipeline to deploy different service workloads for Lakehouse.
Develop tools in python to calculate reliability and resiliency of Lake House. Use these tools to analyze the performance of the Lake House OpenShift cluster.
Use ‘IBM Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to build Machine Learning models using Jupyte Notebook and R studio.
Develop dashboard that will gather data from Lake House OpenShift cluster using go and python script and save it in RDBMS/NoSQL systems.
Develop, maintain, and support the functionality like Backup/Restore, Upgrade and Patching of the IBM Lakehouse product.
Research and analyze new technologies to use in service reliability engineering.
Use Git for code repository, documentation of tools and defect tracking.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience with Linux, web servers, scripting language, RDBMS.
Experience with any one modern programming language like go, NodeJS, JavaScript, Python.
Experience with integrated development environments (eg: Eclipse, Visual Studio Code)
Experience with Source control management (e.g., Git): to enable teams to work together to manage changes to source code.
Knowledge of any automation testing framework.
Knowledge of Deployment tools like Jenkins, Travis: for ensuring latest software release is packaged correctly, tested, and deployed to an application server.
Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise
Experience with containers, containers orchestration software, cloud platforms.
Experience automating infrastructure, testing, and deployments using tools like Jenkins etc.
Strong understanding of diverse infrastructure platforms & concepts.
Experience with Microservices Architecture and design.
Strong Understanding of tools like Jenkins, Travis, and GitHub.
