Job Description:
As a Unity 3D Developer Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn and contribute to the development of interactive 2D and 3D applications using the Unity game engine. You will work closely with a team of experienced developers, designers, and artists to gain practical experience in game development and enhance your skills in a professional setting.
Responsibilities:
1. Game Development Support: Assist in the development of 2D and 3D games and applications using the Unity game engine.
2. Scripting and Programming: Learn and apply scripting and programming concepts in C# or UnityScript (JavaScript) to implement game functionality, mechanics, and logic under the guidance of senior developers.
3. Asset Integration: Collaborate with artists and designers to integrate assets such as models, animations, textures, and sound into the Unity engine.
4. Gameplay Mechanics: Support the implementation of gameplay mechanics, user interfaces, and player controls to create engaging and intuitive gameplay experiences.
5. Bug Fixing and Testing: Collaborate with the development team to identify and fix bugs, perform testing, and assist in ensuring the overall quality of the game.
6. Documentation: Contribute to the documentation of code implementation, technical specifications, and development processes as required.
7. Learning and Skill Development: Take an active role in learning new concepts, tools, and techniques related to Unity development and game development in general.
Requirements:
1. Passion for Game Development: Enthusiasm and passion for game development and interactive experiences.
2. Basic Programming Knowledge: Basic understanding of programming concepts and familiarity with any programming language.
3. Unity 3D Familiarity: Basic knowledge of the Unity game engine and its components (previous coursework or personal projects related to Unity is a plus).
4. Collaboration Skills: Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborate with others, and effectively communicate ideas.
5. Learning Attitude: Eagerness to learn new technologies, tools, and techniques related to Unity development.
